Organising Under The Kitchen Sink

So I completely hadn’t intended to do another ‘organising project’ at the weekend, but I was in Dunnes Stores on Sunday picking up a frame as part of a gift I’m making friends for their wedding (blog post to follow once I’ve given it to them in case they’re reading!) and they were selling some blue baskets, 4 for €10, and I mean baskets are basically the BEST thing for organising any area, and it just seemed wrong not to get them, so I did, figuring I’d use them somewhere. And THEN I got home and was unpacking in the kitchen and under the sink looked so cluttered so bingo! 10 minutes later and I had a super organised under the sink press. Sometimes the unexpected projects are the best 🙂

Friday Favourites – 12 April 2013

Wow, it’s Friday already? Where did that week go? It’s been a crazy busy week but I did manage to set up a new Twitter account for the blog so if you want to follow me (and sure why wouldn’t you?) you can find me here. I’m at the wedding of some very good friends today so keep your fingers crossed the weather co-operates for them (it’s Ireland, no matter the time of year, wedding weather will require crossed fingers). So while I’m off sipping champagne and having a good old boogie on the dance floor, here are some things that caught my eye this week, for your viewing pleasure …

First up is this gorgeous playroom storage bench from Nuestra Vida Dulce. It’s actually an Ikea hack (expedit-shelves-turned-benches) and I’m definitely tempted to try do something similar for our hallway to hide our work bags and give us somewhere to sit when we’re putting on our shoes. I love the fabric Joi has used for the seating as well. Amazing!

A Fridge Makeover

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I spent several hours yesterday organising our little kitchen, but the part which has made me the most happy was the fridge makeover – it was also the quickest project – don’t you love those!
